Dr. Jan Van Schalkwyk

Dr Jan is passionate about creating beautiful smiles and believes that everyone deserves one. But having a functional bite and healthy teeth is equally important and this forms the foundation of any treatment plan. In 2001 he qualified as a dentist at the University of Pretoria with a distinction in Orthodontics and went on to obtain his post-graduate diplomas in both Maxillofacial Pathology and Orthodontics. As an undergraduate he also won two research prizes and represented South Africa twice at international conferences in the USA. In the Netherlands he was part of an exchange Student program at the University of Nijmegen. Subsequently he has completed post-graduate courses in implant placement, advanced Botox and Filler treatment, as well as Digital Smile Design and Injection Moulding. Laser and CAD/CAM dentistry also plays a fundamental role in his implementation of digital dentistry. Continuous professional development is essential to continuously offer your patients the best treatment possible. Throw in some kindness, compassion and patience and that is Dr Jan.
